  • Afternoon

    • The team arrives at Denver International Airport (DIA) by 2:00 PM, picks up a rental vehicle, and drives west to Glenwood Springs (approximately 3 hours).

    Evening

    • Check in to the Glenwood Springs hotel. See hotel information below.

    • Dinner & Nature Walk.

  • Morning

    • 10:00 - 11:00 am: Spring Valley Campus Tour Part 1

    • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Class Observation #1

    Afternoon

    • 12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch with Student Focus Group

    • 1:00 - 3:00 pm: Interviews with College Leaders

    • 3:00 - 4:00 pm: Campus Tour Part 2

    • 4:00 - 5:00 pm: Class Observation #2

    Evening

    • 5:00 - 7:00 pm: Dinner

    • 7:00 - 9:00 pm: Transformative Accreditation Activity 1: Contemplating Water at Glenwood Hot Springs

  • Morning

    • The team departs Glenwood Springs and drives to the Steamboat Springs Campus (approximately 2.5 hours).

    • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Campus Tour

    Afternoon

    • 12:00 - 2:00 pm: Lunch with campus leaders

    • 2:00 - 5:00 pm: Interviews with faculty, staff, students, and alumni with focus on

      • 1) work opportunities,

      • 2) international opportunities, and

      • 3) professional alumni experience.

    Evening

    • Check in to the Steamboat Springs hotel. See hotel information below.

    • 6:30 pm: Casual Dinner

  • Morning

    • 8:00 - 9:00 am: Bear Park Permaculture Center tour

    • 9:15 - 10:15 am: Visit Debrief

    • 10:30 - 11:15 am: Transformative Accreditation Activity 2: Walking the Labyrinth

    • 11:15 am - 12:00 pm: Brown bag team lunch, followed by departure. The site visit concludes by noon.

What should I bring to the site visit?

You will receive a site visit packet in advance with relevant documents, evaluation criteria, and interview guides. Please bring a laptop or tablet for note-taking. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as campus tours may involve some outdoor walking.

What should I know about getting around?

The team will share a rental vehicle from Denver International Airport to Glenwood Springs and onward to Steamboat Springs. If you are arranging your own transportation at any point, please coordinate with Aaron Redman in advance.
