SEAC Site Visit: Colorado Mountain College

  • Afternoon

    • The team arrives at Denver International Airport (DIA) by 2:00 PM, picks up a rental vehicle, and drives west to Glenwood Springs (approximately 3 hours).

    Evening

    • Check in to the Glenwood Springs hotel.

  • Morning

    • Site visit begins at 10:00 AM at the Spring Valley Campus near Glenwood Springs.

      • Classroom observations

      • Campus tour

      • Interviews with central office staff

    Afternoon

    • TBD

    Evening

  • Morning

    • The team departs Glenwood Springs and drives to the Steamboat Springs Campus (approximately 2.5 hours).

    Afternoon

    • Site visit of the Steamboat Campus upon arrival.

    Evening

    • Check in to the Steamboat Springs hotel.

  • Morning

    • Working session in a campus conference room or hotel meeting space.

    Afternoon

    • Team lunch, followed by departure. The site visit concludes by noon.

What should I bring to the site visit?

You will receive a site visit packet in advance with relevant documents, evaluation criteria, and interview guides. Please bring a laptop or tablet for note-taking. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as campus tours may involve some outdoor walking.


What should I know about getting around?

The team will share a rental vehicle from Denver International Airport to Glenwood Springs and onward to Steamboat Springs. If you are arranging your own transportation at any point, please coordinate with Aaron Redman in advance.
